Order "Hill County Revue"
The North Mississippi Allstars will be releasing their first LIVE RECORD on October 12th, 2004. The recording was made during this year's Bonnaroo Festival, and has been remixed by Jim Dickinson. The show was the epitome of what the North Mississippi Allstars are about. It was a family event showcasing the great depth of musical talent and heritage from the North Mississippi Hill Country. The revue included R.L. Burnside, Jim Dickinson, The Rising Star Fife and Drum Band, Duwayne Burnside, Garry Burnside, Cody Burnside, R.L. Boyce, Jo Jo Hermann and Chris Robinson.

Order "Polaris"
The North Mississippi Allstars have put together a six song EP recorded with Jim Dickinson in his Zebra Ranch studio and Memphis' Ardent Studios. The band tracked versions of The Band's 'The Weight', The Rolling Stones' 'Stray Cat' and The Replacements' 'Skyway', as well as acoustic versions of songs from their last release POLARIS: 'Eyes', 'Meet Me In The City' and 'Goin' Home'.

From the hard driving opening rave-up, “Shake ‘Em On Down” through the mellow groove of “KC Jones” and the all-stops out jamming of “All Night Long,” the North Mississippi Allstars weave a musical helix from the deep earth of Fred McDowell’s gritty soulful country blues to aggressive high-compression rock. Shake Hands With Shorty offers up strong doses of electricified boogie blues, hypnotic deep groove and ass-shakin’ jams. Dig it.

Order "The Word"
The WORD was largely inspired by a centuries-old style of gospel music dubbed "Sacred Steel," which has been documented through a series of recordings on the Arhoolie label. The music is an homage to the venerable House of God (a Pentecostal church known for its’ bluesy style of gospel hymns played on the steel guitar) whose music-driven worship services are both divine and celebratory.
On this recording, The WORD takes this traditional body of music and turns it into a sound that is every bit futuristic as it is steeped in the ancient soul of the gospel. Created by 5 of the most talented and raw young musicians on today’s scene, the sheer love and joy of their music, their playing and their feelings toward each other comes to life on The WORD to create an out-of-body experience upon proper listening (for that is the intended purpose - in the House of God, the presence of the Holy Spirit is manifested by dancing and involuntary body movements).
This record is rock and roll. This record is gospel. This record is so darn beautiful that it’s creators wept upon its completion. This is The WORD and it is truly special.
